Tish Marks

Tish Marks,
Director of Rehabilitation Services

My journey into therapy began at 16, when I watched the transformative impact PT/OT/ST had on my dad, who struggled with CHF and heart issues. From being bed-bound, I saw him regain the ability to walk, dress, and feed himself and most importantly look and feel like himself again. The therapists’ care, creativity, and dedication left a lasting impression. For 20 years I’ve been providing direct patient care as a physical therapist assistant in long term care, home health, outpatient and acute care where we assist with the rehab and recovery of various conditions. Taking care of people and helping them reach their goals is a commitment I take seriously as director of RiverBend’s signature Rehab program.

Michelle Garrett

Michelle Garrett, OTR

I’ve been a registered occupational therapist (OTR) since I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2013. I work exclusively in nursing homes due to my passion for improving quality of life for elderly individuals and members of other vulnerable populations. Although I take my role seriously, I love making my patients and coworkers laugh with one-liners.

Liz Guetling

Liz Guetling, OT Assistant

I’ve been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for over 20 years, specializing in stroke recovery & vision while increasing independence in our patients daily lives. I began my career in inpatient rehab, focusing on stroke recovery, and then moved onto long-term care. I chose RiverBend Nursing & Rehabilitation because of its deep roots in Evansville’s West Side community. As a graduate of Reitz High School & University of Southern Indiana, I have a special bond with our west side community & love to talk to my patients about the West side, history, and rivalry games.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking my dog, and reading.

Vicky Bratton

Vicky Bratton, PTA

I have 20 years experience as a PTA. 3 years at Deaconess Hospital in acute care, 14 years experience in Home Care with Specialty and 3 years in Long Term Care with Riverbend. I love being a therapist and working at Riverbend because it allows me to serve the elderly while working to elevate the patients quality of life, ability to possibly return home, and remain safe with their mobility. I decided I would become a therapist after watching my mom going through physical therapy to prevent her from having knee surgery. This is definitely a profession I see myself retiring from and currently love working with this amazing therapy team!
